Each item I make is custom designed in conjuction with the client and hand forged using a variety of modern metalsmithing techniques. The limits of metal as a medium are boundless, no other sculpting craft allows for the long flowing tapers, joinery techniques, solid feel, textures and colours available through working with steel. Iron combines well with a wide range of other metals like stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze or even glass and stone, giving a rich contrast and deeper look to a piece. Todays technology allows new ways of communicating and visualising my work to you, for example: a set of gates can be sketched and built up on the computer then overlayed on a digital picture of the entrance way to your home to show how the finished style will look. Any item can first be designed in this way and shown to you before work begins.
